Oregon Leadership Institute

Oregon Leadership Institute

There are only so many times a year you can travel to meet new people, network network with brilliant leaders, and share memorable experiences with all of Oregon’s CTSOs. Now that the new year of school is upon us and in full swing, we cannot wait to kick off the fall with you! If you haven’t already, mark your calendars for October 31st and November 1st in bold letters that spell OLI.  Held in Medford, Oregon (or Pendleton on October 29th and 30th), this is your chance to start your DECA year right.

OLI is the Oregon Leadership Institute; a place to dress up, learn key skills, and yes of course eat excellent food. The first night of OLI will entail a elegant etiquette dinner, where members can come as well dressed as desired to make stunning first impressions. Attendees can learn the dos and don'ts of dining in a professional setting, while socializing with people from all over the state. The experience is not one to miss out on, and the food is something of a dream.

The second day of OLI is where attendees will choose specialized workshops to attend where they can learn valuable lessons about their organization, the world and themselves. Several workshops will feature astonishing keynote speakers ready to deliver jaw dropping information to all that attend. Interested in improving your competitive edge? Come to the “Get That Glass” workshop put on by your very own Oregon DECA State Officers.

This years OLI will be held at the Inn at the commons in Medford. Never been to Medford? Don’t be afraid to reserve your spots now to travel down to beautiful southern Oregon and this growing small city. The weather is great and the air is clean. Have any questions about OLI? You can reach out to your chapter adviser or local state officer, as we’d be happy to assist. OLI is ready for you, are you ready for it?
