Over 700 DECA members will be competing on February 21-23 to earn a spot to advance onto the International Career Development Conference.          

Business Leaders: Get Involved with Oregon DECA!

Essential to DECA programs is the support of local businesses. Each year over 1,300 marketing students in the state of Oregon participate in the DECA program. The support and interaction of business leaders plays an important role in the outstanding experience that each gains from their membership in DECA.  

This year Oregon DECA is in need of 150 business professionals to participate in evaluating our students' competency at the State Career Development Conference in Portland, February 22-23, 2010. Over 800 high school students from DECA chapters across the state will be competing in over 40 competitive events for the opportunity to attend the International Career Development Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

If you are interested in serving as a judge or know of someone who would make an excellent judge, there are three ways to sign-up: 1) complete the Online Series Judge Sign-Up Form, 2) print and mail/fax the Series Judge Sign-Up Form (PDF), or 3) contact Lee Letsch, Judge Coordinator, at 503.385.4715 or lee.letsch@wesd.org.

Judge Lodging
If you are interested in staying at the Red Lion Hotel in conjunction with judging and would like to receive the DECA rate please do the following: Submit hotel forms I, J, and K on the State Career Development Conference page of this site (click here for a link to the page). On each form where it asks for a "School Name" just enter "Judge" in the box.
