District Skills Competitions

Coming up soon are Oregon DECA’s District Skills Competitions.  These competitions simulate a mini state conference, giving you a chance to practice before the real thing in February.  Members will be able to participate in practice role plays and learn valuable tips to help them succeed.

The District III Skills conference already took place in September in the form of a boot camp.  Attendees were able to learn about DECA, learn how to be successful in role plays and got the chance to participate in various bonding activities.  Jennifer Pickerill, the District III Vice President, said, “It went really well.  We had a lot of new members and got a lot of people excited about DECA!”

The District I and District II Skills Competitions are coming up in November.

  • District II Skills Competition: November 22 at Sprague High School in Salem. Registration is due November 10.
  •  District I Skills Competitions: January 24 at Sabin Schellenberg Center in Portland.

Members from any district are welcome to attend either/both conferences.  Further details and registration packets will be sent out soon.  This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss; we hope to see you there!
