South Medford High School
Brian Josephson is a senior at South Medford High School in Medford, Oregon. Brian joined DECA his freshman year after attending South Medford's club showcase. Brian liked the idea of a student organization for business and marketing and he was eager to join. As a member, Brian joined his chapter’s leadership team. Leading his chapter gave him the confidence to run for the District Three Vice President in the 2016-2017 school year.
Brian has continued his growth in DECA by attending several local competitions where he gained the experience to win at SCDC. Brian attended ICDC 2017 competing in Restaurant Food Service Marketing. In the future, Brian hopes to attend the University of Chicago to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he hopes to further his education by studying for a Master of Public Policy and a Juris Doctor. Brian plans to become an attorney.
Brian has discovered that DECA offers many opportunities that help students like him to achieve the same career goals. Brian is excited to encourage other members of Oregon DECA to make the most of their opportunities as the President of Oregon DECA.
